Wear your full Class A uniform.  Let's start this year looking sharp!
This will be an important information sharing time for everyone planning to be involved in Troop 407 during this coming year.
All Scouts must bring: 
  • At least one parent, preferably both.
  • $192 annual dues: make checks to "Troop 407, BSA" or pay through the Online Store.
  • Any changed information for your Scout Profile. Forms will be distributed as you arrive and collected before you leave. Please provide us with all of the requested information. Many forms that we must file with the Council throughout the year require this information and it is much easier to collect it all at once. Legible entries in a brightly colored pen will greatly ease data entry.
  • If you did not attend summer camp or Philmont with us, a new complete Annual Health and Medical Record.

When: Saturday, September 17th, 8am - 12pm (practical hands-on learning & assessment). There will be an online instructional component leading up to the practical session.* Lunch will be provided.
Who: Scouts & Adult Leaders. All scouts must have completed either the First Aid Merit Badge and/or the first aid rank requirements up to and including first class rank.

10am - 10pm 		Huntington Beach Beach Day & Bike Ride (MW)
Join all of your troop friends for a day and evening at the beach. Some will drive, some will ride bikes, all will have fun! Those who are interested will start at The Pond in Anaheim and ride the Santa Ana River Trail to Huntington Beach. We will gather at Huntington Beach for play, a burger and dog BBQ, and s'mores. Bring the whole family. Register for the BBQ online. We need committment from some parents to go early and claim a fire pit and some to make the food happen.

This event is put on by the Claremont Museum of Art. We help setup tables and chairs, art displays, umbrellas, etc in the morning before the event starts and then help put it all away in the afternoon when it is over. We will be working with scouts from other Claremont troops to get the work done.

Sunday 1/22 4pm 		Camp Verdugo Oaks Campout: Camp Verdugo Oaks is located 45 minutes north of Glendale off I-5 at Templin Highway.
Set among a stand of ancient California Live Oaks, the facility offers campsites, cabins, platform tents, and a rustic conference center with fully equipped kitchen. The camp can accommodate 175 people or more for an event or activity. CVO also offers a full range of program opportunities, including swimming pool, archery range, BB gun range, campfire amphitheater, gaga ball pit, and nature trail.

We will attend the 10am service as a group in full, neat, dress Class A uniform. We will all act as ushers and greeters before the service and some of us will participate as acolytes, readers, musicians, and leading the Children's Celebration. We are hosting the "coffee" after the service so plan to stay until about 11:30.
